Now this is a true MN getaway! As your drive-in brings you closer to Duck Lake, the towering birch and evergreens are the first clues that you’re headed into secluded MN lake country. The drive along Duck Lane is a gravel road helping you transition into ‘backroads’ mode. This cabin is the perfect location to unplug from the hectic pace of life and settle into this cozy cabin surrounded by nature. This is where you come to escape the chaotic hustle of everyday life. Parents bring your tweeners or teen-agers and the family pet, for quality time together as a family. It’s also perfect for two couples or 4-6 close friends that want to escape and relax. Out here you can hear yourself think surrounded by the sites and sounds of central Minnesota lake country. Only the loons may interrupt those thoughts! This cabin interior is knotty pine with a stone wood-burning fireplace. Although the vibe is rustic, the windows and doors are updated providing a draft-free nesting experience. The cabin is set up into the trees with an elevated, yet close up view of the lake. The deck extends the full length of the cabin and offers a propane grill just outside the kitchen door. The kitchen is stocked with the basics including cooking and bakeware. A coffee maker and toaster are also ready for use. Each of the 2 bedrooms has a queen-sized bed and there is a futon in the living room for a 5th & 6th sleeper. The lakeside windows frame a panoramic view and an open feel. A sliding glass door leads out to the deck where a patio table and chairs include a retractable umbrella to shade the rays of sunlight that break through the surrounding pine trees. There are two bedrooms with plenty of linens and pillows, including flannel sheets for winter nights. There is one full bath with a shower and a stacked washer/dryer. There are two fire pits and a private yard to enjoy. With the Huntersville State Forest nearby you will find endless activities for anyone in the family. Hiking, horseback, snowmobile & ATV trails, grouse or deer hunting are all available to enjoy. Food and fuel within five miles, great shopping at quaint, local retail shops in downtown Park Rapids including 2 antique candy shops! (15 miles) or Dorset (12 miles), not to mention all the great eating destinations nearby. A public access & boat landing is 1/4 mile from the cabin. Come and enjoy central MN at its best! PETS ARE ONY ALLOWED WITH PERMISSION - PET FEE WILL APPLY.
